Formative—Strategy and Creative Services for Corporate Communications: Clients

The Chevron Corporation is one of the world's largest oil and energy companies with over 59,000 employees. Our job is to expand and pump up the volume on the Chevron story to employees all around the globe. With a wealth of authentic visuals and Chevron's own engaging stories we're creating our second issue of the Solutions World bimonthly magazine. We have been charged with taking this publication to a new level of fit and finish that will attract greater employee interaction and participation - as a result Solution World will be an even stronger reflection of the ideas, concerns and aspirations of the family of Chevron co-workers.

AXA Rosenberg Group prefers a more analytical approach to equity investing. The unit of insurance giant AXA manages stock portfolios for such institutional investors as corporations, pension funds, governments, universities, and not-for-profit organizations. It also administers mutual funds with holdings in equities from around the globe. Using valuation models developed by company founder and chairman Barr Rosenberg, AXA Rosenberg's investment philosophy concentrates on steady earnings and minimizing risk, rather than gunning for high returns.

The Institute for OneWorld Health is the world’s first nonprofit pharmaceutical company. Headquartered in San Francisco, and directing operations in the U.S. and several developing countries, OneWorld Health aspires to cure many infectious diseases that disproportionately affect people in Third World locations. Significant funding comes from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Netflix (Nasdaq: NFLX) is the world’s largest online DVD movie rental service, offering nearly 1.5 million members access to more than 18,000 titles. The company’s appeal and success are built on providing the most expansive selection of DVDs, an easy way to choose movies, and fast, free delivery.

Pronto Networks is a privately-held software company that enables the deployment of large scale public WLAN networks. A Pronto-enabled network allows mobile users to gain wireless, high-speed Internet access in public locations. Pronto’s solutions power thousands of Wi-Fi hot spot nodes worldwide, including airports, hotels, restaurants, and college campuses.

Our relationship began in 1998. We design the annual report and consult on a variety of other corporate communications projects aimed at strengthening and extending Chiron’s global corporate brand.

We’ve worked with DPR since 1994, when they posted annual revenues of $170 million. DPR’s ongoing success and aggressive growth strategy generated 2000 revenues of more than $1.8 billion.

Sangamo is a leading pioneer in gene regulation technology. The company’s patented technology can recognize and locate any specific gene in a living organism, control that gene’s expression (turn it on or off with modular control), and consequently, control cell function. One of Sangamo’s goals is to allow a human body to develop its own natural mechanisms to thwart killers like cancer and heart disease. Formative designed Sangamo’s annual reports in 2000, 2001 and 2002, and an all-new website in 2003.

Cameron Hughes Wines was founded in 2000 to introduce new European-style blended wines to American wine lovers. As a wine négociante business, Cameron Hughes selects and buys wines from artisan winegrowers and blends them to create complex, elegant, food-friendly wines. We designed the eclectic label and packaging for the company’s first bottling that has already won the hearts of connoisseurs.
